Merit School of Music

The Merit School of Music provides free and low-fee instruction to Chicago-area children, most of them from the inner city. Since its founding, in 1979, Merit's programs have reached more than 30,000 children. Merit's Executive Director, Duffie Adelson, is a true inspiration to me.
