Seattle
Times, April 12, 2003 No matter how many times you see Midori perform, it's hard not to be struck by the contrast between her delicate, reed-thin appearance and the remarkably steady power of her bow arm. The violinist, in town for a set of subscription concerts with Gerard Schwarz and the Seattle Symphony, turned in an immaculate, beautifully shaded performance of the Dvořák Violin Concerto on Thursday night, getting a standing ovation from a thoroughly charmed audience. |
