Midori captivates audience with graceful
Dvořák concerto
By MELINDA BARGREEN

No matter how many times you see Midori perform, it's hard not to be struck by the contrast between her delicate, reed-thin appearance and the remarkably steady power of her bow arm. The violinist, in town for a set of subscription concerts with Gerard Schwarz and the Seattle Symphony, turned in an immaculate, beautifully shaded performance of the Dvořák Violin Concerto on Thursday night, getting a standing ovation from a thoroughly charmed audience.
