Orchestra Residencies Program

2012/2013 ORP recipients announced! We are pleased to announce the Orchestra Residencies Program awardees for the 2012/2013 season: the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra in Little Rock, Arkansas, and the Reading Symphony Orchestra and Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra in Reading, Pennsylvania. These outstanding organizations were selected by an objective committee of arts professionals, based on fulfillment of a variety of criteria as documented in their applications.

Through ORP, Midori will spend five to seven days each in Little Rock and Reading, working intensively with the youth orchestras, performing with the adult symphonies, and participating in assorted education, advocacy and outreach projects.

Next ORPs: residencies for the 2011/2012 season will take place with the Eugene Symphony and Arts Umbrella youth orchestras in Oregon, and the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra and Arlington County / T.C. Williams High School Orchestras in Virginia. Check back for more information over the coming months.
