This is the official online home of Midori, the violinist, educator, and advocate whose work spans the concert stage, the classroom, and community programs on several continents. For more than three decades she has performed with leading orchestras and chamber musicians, recorded repertoire from Bach to contemporary composers, and helped audiences hear classical music as a living conversation rather than a distant tradition.
Alongside her performing career, Midori directs and supports music education through Midori & Friends in New York City, MUSIC SHARING in Japan, and Partners in Performance across the United States. She teaches at the Curtis Institute of Music and remains active in outreach that brings performances to schools, hospitals, and communities with limited access to the arts.
